Welcome

Hello and welcome to the photo blog of A Captured Life Photography! We're based in Waco, TX and we shoot weddings, families, kids, seniors, and any other random thing you can think of. This blog serves as a journal for our professional work, personal imagery, family pictures, and travels. ENJOY! And if you like what you see here, feel free to leave us a comment :)

If you're looking for our online portfolios, you can find them on the websites - we've got one for portraits and another for weddings. Our prices - very reasonable. Our mission - to make SCHWEET photography available to everyone!

If you are interested in being the next entry on the blog, send an email or fill out the contact form on the website. We look forward to meeting you!

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you had a great holiday weekend.  We enjoyed extra time with daddy and a trip to the “beach!”  Anna and Chase played in the water while Evie and I stayed on the rocky beach.  It was a great chance to get some more pictures of my little sweetheart!

We forgot to bring beach toys, and before I knew it Evie was filling my water bottle with dirt!

What is THIS pose! It cracked me up.

Evidence that my kids eat dirt.

Kim, Ryan, & Baby Caroline

If one maternity shoot is great, two is AWESOME!  Unless of course you’re ME and you’ve already got baby fever.  Okay, so I’ve said it on the blog.  But seriously, it’s so fun to talk to first-time parents about the upcoming arrival of their little one.  I had a great time!

Tami, Scott, & Baby Austin

Little Austin will be blessed to have Tami and Scott as parents!  I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them as we wandered (and waddled) the campus of Baylor University. Good times!  I hope you put your feet up when you got home!  I’m a lot to put up with when you’re NOT pregnant… Tami was a real trooper :)

Business Update

Well, it’s official - I am no longer booking weddings. I’ve got several more this year, which will keep me quite busy, and next year we hope to move to Michigan! With so many transitions in the works it doesn’t seem wise to take on wedding commitments, so we’re going to stick with portraits for a while.  If you do find yourself in need of a super schweet wedding photographer and are suffering from extreme disappointment at this point in the blog post, cheer up!  Check out Sarah Hess of Fleeting Moments Studio and you will be smiling once again :)

I will miss the engagement sessions - they’re my favorite! - so if your great Uncle Louie is shooting your wedding but you want couple shots done beforehand, give me a call.

Thanks, world, for keeping me so busy! Too busy, in fact, to keep this blog even remotely updated. Or my galleries full. If all goes as planned I’ll have some pictures up here tonight… stay tuned!

Brad & Trae

Nothing like some great family shots! These were taken in June at Cameron Park, but I’m more than a little behind with my blogging… :) What a fun family!
