FAQ

Your Portrait Shoot
Let’s have fun!  This is about you and expressing who you are through pictures.  Bring ideas and props with you!  We’ll laugh and get great photographs in the process.

How many pictures will you take?
Portrait Sessions usually last 1-2 hours, and a typical session will yield 35-50 images.

Portrait Locations
Sessions can be held pretty much anywhere in the greater Waco, Texas area.

We shoot on location and can take pictures at parks, scenic buildings, your home… even places like parking lots and construction sites!  Let’s be creative and see what we come up with – I’m up for anything.

What should I wear?
Colors!  Layers!  Jeans and white shirts may seem like a good idea, but it’s best to include coordinating colors.

You are also free to bring a few options, or a change of clothes – just make sure to pick a location with a changing area! : )

When will the images be ready?
Portrait proofs are ready for viewing in 2-3 weeks.

How will I see my images?
Your images will be placed in an online gallery for a period of 3 months.  Orders for prints and products can be placed directly through the gallery.

How long do you keep my pictures?
Due to the large amount of storage space required for today’s digital imaging technology and the large quantity of images we create per year, we can only keep your image files in our active system for 30 days.  All custom print and album orders must be placed before that time.  After thirty days, your images will be deleted from our active system.

All files are backed up at other locations and we have no intention of ever deleting them, but we make no guarentees!

Online galleries expire in 3 months.

Tell me more about the disk of images.
The images on the disk are individually edited, and are at the “proof” stage.  They look awesome and will make great prints, but they’re not yet perfect.  When you order prints, they will be retouched so that your skin is clear, the stars are shining… you get the idea.

By the way, all album images also receive special love from us.  You’re welcome to take your disk and create one yourself, but we’re more than happy to put one together for you.

Please read the page on Copyright Information if you have any questions on how to legally use your disk.

And PS – If you need a CD instead of a DVD, please let me know ahead of time.

Camera Equipment
I shoot digitally with professional Canon cameras and lenses, and always bring back-up gear.  I love to talk techie so let me know if you want more details!

Experience

I am a teacher (my MA is in TESOL) turned photographer!  I officially began shooting in 2007 and have loved every minute of it!

I usually work alone, but bring a second shooter or assistant along with me whenever I can.  Don’t be surprised if I ask you to hold a reflector:)

My Style
It’s fun to catch people being real.  Your pictures will include a few traditional, posed shots, but will mostly be a collection of candid moments that tell your story in a real way.  My goal is always genuine interactions and expressions.  I’m out to capture life!
